Description
During this course you will thoroughly explore the most commonly used Lotus Notes® features. You will also go beyond "the basics" to utilize features inaccessible to users in previous releases of Notes, including building private views of data, constructing folders to organize documents, using your calendar to schedule meetings, and creating mail agents to automate message handling. You will also be introduced to the World Wide Web and how the Notes Client Browser can be used to collect information from the Internet.

Course Goals

This course will:
  • provide an understanding of the role Lotus Notes fulfills in storing and disseminating information in your organization
  • provide extensive navigation experience in finding, reading, creating, and printing Notes views and documents
  • create private views and folders to better organize information
  • fully exploit the capabilities of rich text fields
  • configure your Notes environment for maximum productivity
  • send memos and forward documents to other people using Notes mail
  • use the personal calendar to schedule team activities
  • create mail agents that automate message handling
  • configure your workstation as a mobile client.

Intended Audience
This course is designed for individuals who have never used Notes and can:
copy files between floppy and fixed disks using either operating system commands or a file manager software package
easily navigate in a windowed operating environment
create, format, and print documents using a graphical word processing software package.
