| During this course you will build and configure a complete Lotus Domino Server-Notes Client environment in which you will securely access and replicate database changes.
This is an intensely practical course, offering significant hands-on experience in all aspects of basic Domino server and Notes client installation and setup.

| Course Goals |
This course enables you to:
- setup, configure, and maintain Domino Servers and Notes Clients
- understand and configure all intra-domain aspects of Server and Client security
- manage and maintain Notes Domino Servers and databases using the Server Administration Panel and the Administration Process
- replicate databases and schedule automated replication between Domino Servers
- draft policies to confidently manage the Lotus Notes environment.

| Intended Audience |
This course is designed for LAN administrators who are responsible for supporting Lotus Domino Servers and Notes Clients. You will find this course most useful if you have, prior to this course:
used Lotus Notes and Notes mail for at least 3 months and understand the functions of the Domino Server and Notes Client software
understand database Access Control List (ACL) settings and can change settings in the ACL dialog box
understand the purpose of
Group
documents
understand the theory and operation of personal computer networking in LAN and WAN environments
installed and supported the operating systems used in this course (Windows NT/95) as well as applications used by those systems
installed, administered, and supported network operating system server and workstation software.
You will find the course especially rewarding if you have already installed a Domino Server and a handful of Notes Clients and have had some experience designing Notes databases. |
